WHY YOU’LL LOVE DR GLITTER
Utilising Dr Glitter’s ActivCrystal™ technology, active ingredients are encapsulated in a prebiotic tree sap that is tasteless when sprinkled on meals. Nutrient crystals are flavoured by your food, and that could be spicy, salty, sweet, sour or umami, it depends on what you sprinkle it on.
When sprinkled on meals, the moisture in food and drinks turn nutrient crystals into a gel allowing them to have no impact on the texture of what you’re eating. If needed, stir nutrient crystals in to your meal so that they incorporate fully.

OUR DOSAGE
We have chosen to have a sub-therapeutic dose of 4 mg of elemental iron in every sachet of Red IRON+ crystals. Whilst other iron products may contain more elemental iron, more is not necessarily better. This is because excess iron can be toxic and cause premature ageing, many foods that people consume daily already contain iron, and we believe it is important for individuals to be able to personalise their daily iron intake according to their diet, lifestyle, and body’s needs.
The Estimated Average Requirement (EAR) is the daily intake level projected to fulfil the nutritional needs of 50% of healthy individuals in Australia. The EAR of:

However, certain conditions such as heavy menstrual periods, repeated foot strikes during long distance running, and gut health issues may result in an individual to need greater amounts of iron or not be able to absorb iron effectively. If you are anaemic or low in iron, you should seek the advice of a medical professional.

BENEFITS OF IRON
Iron is an essential nutrient for a healthy, functioning body. However, iron is also unfortunately the most common mineral to be deficient in.
Benefits of healthy iron levels include:
Red IRON+ Crystals are a healthy and convenient way to boost the iron content of your meals. If your diet needs more iron, Dr Glitter has designed a solution for you to incorporate into your meal time routine on an ongoing basis, and without gastric discomfort. Giving your body its daily iron needs will help you avoid emergency interventions such as iron infusions and high dose iron tablets.
BENEFITS OF PREBIOTICS
Prebiotics are non-digestible fibres that feed and support the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut (probiotics). Without prebiotics, probiotics may struggle to survive and thrive.
As a result, prebiotics have the following benefits:
Many commonly consumed whole foods such as garlic and onion are great sources of prebiotic fibre. However, many of these food sources are high in FODMAPs so they're not suitable for people who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). FODMAPs are short-chain carbohydrates that the small intestine absorb poorly. As a result, many people who suffer from gut issues end up in a vicious cycle in which they need to consume more prebiotic fibre to improve their gut health, but many common sources are high in FODMAP and cause them to experience stomach pain, cramps, diarrhoea and/or constipation, bloating, excessive wind and urgent bowel movements.
Fortunately, Dr Glitter's source of prebiotic fibre is acacia gum. This is the sap of acacia trees, and is also one of the few sources of prebiotic fibre that is low in FODMAPs and IBS friendly.
